Restaurant Docket Books

Restaurant Docket Books

Every venue that takes an order by hand needs a docket book that suits how the order moves: one copy for the kitchen, one for the till, and sometimes a third for the customer.

AGC stocks four formats. The duplicate long book gives you two copies per order, the standard setup where the kitchen keeps one and the counter keeps the other. The triplicate long book at 200 x 96mm and the triplicate standard book both add a third copy, which is what most table service restaurants run so the pass, the bar and the register all work from the same order.

The takeaway slip book is built for counter and phone orders, with a tear-off slip that goes to the customer as a collection reference while the kitchen and till keep their copies.

All four are sold in packs and boxes of ten books, which is the volume most kitchens go through in a quarter and keeps the reorder simple.

Handwritten dockets still have a place even in venues running a POS. They keep service moving when the system is down, they work in outdoor and pop-up trading where terminals are impractical, and they give function and catering staff a fast way to take variations.
